Established in 1969, Adir was at first located in a small place of about 40 square meters. It started with only one machine for manufacturing polyethylene bags, its staff consisting of only two workers working in one shift.

Its ambitious, talented managment brought astonishing success to Adir.

Adir is now situated in a large building of over 2,000 sqm. near Jerusalem. Its equipment includes extruders flexographic and rotogravure printing press, bag making machines.

The company specializes in manufacturing all kinds of supermarket bags and packaging at almost any given size, gauge and colour, including all kinds of bags for houshold consumption.

In 1976 the company started exporting to Europe, its customers being mainly supermarkets.

Since 1983 Adir manufactures bags on rolls for supermarkets, either for packging or for household consumption. The company therefore invested in the modern state of the art equipment. Adir becomes the greatest manufacturer of bags on rolls in Israel and also became world popular.

In 2000 Adir begins to manufacture multilayer films.

In 2004 Adir begins to manufacture 3-Meter wide film tubes, able to reach upto 10-Meter length on roll.
